I have come back to Germany. Outside my window it has been grey all day, like a November day, marking a stark contrast from the über-hot Stockholm the last days. As I came home, the skies opened and since then a heavy thunderstorm is coming down on Hamburg. It really feels like monsoon! You can barely see except for the times when the lightening illuminates everything. The thunder had me jumping on my chair.
I felt like departing from somewhere that does not feel entirely home anymore to somewhere that does not feel home, either. Now I am torn between wanting to lie down and give up and a surprisingly strong, stubborn strive to make the Hamburg period a pleasantly endurable time.
Meanwhile, I combine these two souls dwelling in my breast by first watching Allsång på Skansen and then supporting the German team in our semifinale. SemiFINALE!
